Privacy Policy — Zaldo
This Privacy Policy describes how Jaguar Hosting LLC ("Jaguar Hosting," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use Zaldo (the "Service"), including the Zaldo web dashboard, the Zaldo Google Workspace (Gmail) add-on, and any related applications or services.
Zaldo is a personal expense-tracking service that helps you understand your spending by reading the transaction notification emails your bank already sends you and organizing them into a clear financial dashboard.
By using Zaldo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Company: Jaguar Hosting LLC
Product: Zaldo
Address: 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Sheridan, Wyoming, 82801, United States
Contact: support@mizaldo.com
For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at support@mizaldo.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: your email address (used to create and access your account via Google sign-in or magic link).
- Manually entered data: transactions, categories, spending limits, rules, currency preferences, and other information you choose to enter into Zaldo.
- Payment information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number or payment credentials. We receive only limited billing information (such as subscription status, billing interval, and a Stripe customer identifier).
2.2 Information from Google (Gmail add-on)
If you choose to install and authorize the Zaldo Gmail add-on, Zaldo accesses only the specific bank notification email that is currently open, in order to detect and extract transaction details (such as the merchant name, amount, date, card identifier, and transaction type).
- Zaldo reads the content of a bank notification email only when you open it and the add-on is active.
- Zaldo extracts only the transaction data needed to create an expense record.
- Zaldo does not read, scan, index, store, or back up your other emails.
- Zaldo does not access your Google account password and does not access your online banking.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Usage and analytics data: we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, pages visited and features used).
- Technical data: basic technical information such as browser type and approximate region, used to operate and secure the Service.
3. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure
Zaldo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- Limited purpose: Information obtained from Gmail through Google Workspace APIs is used solely to provide and improve Zaldo's expense-tracking features that you have requested — namely, detecting and recording a transaction from a bank notification email you open.
- No permanent copies of email: Zaldo does not create permanent copies of your email messages, does not build databases of your email, and does not retain cached copies of your email beyond what is necessary to perform the requested action.
- No human access: We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data, except (a) with your explicit consent for specific messages, (b) where necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
- No advertising: We do not use Gmail data for advertising purposes.
- No model training: We do not use your Gmail data, or any Google user data, to train, develop, or improve generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- No sale or transfer: We do not sell Google user data and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law.
What Zaldo retains is the resulting transaction record that you choose to add (merchant, amount, date, card identifier, type), stored in your Zaldo account — not the underlying email.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Detect and record transactions from bank notification emails you open (via the add-on).
- Organize, categorize, and display your transactions and financial reports.
- Apply your rules, spending limits, and preferences.
- Process subscriptions and payments (via Stripe).
- Send you essential account communications (such as login links and important notices).
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate Zaldo, and only as necessary:
- Google — for authentication and the Gmail add-on functionality, subject to Section 3.
- Supabase — our database and authentication infrastructure provider, where your account data and transaction records are stored.

- Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send transactional emails such as login links.
- Hosting and analytics providers — used to host the Service and understand usage in a privacy-focused manner.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jaguar Hosting, our users, or others.
6. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure, reputable cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction, including encryption in transit and at rest where applicable.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and devices secure.
7. Data retention
We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations (for example, certain billing records).
You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).
8. Revoking access to Gmail
You may revoke Zaldo's access to your Gmail at any time through your Google Account settings, at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once revoked, Zaldo will no longer be able to access any Gmail data. Transaction records you previously added to Zaldo will remain in your account unless you delete them or your account.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@mizaldo.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For users in California and other U.S. states with applicable privacy laws: we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the Service.
10. Children's privacy
Zaldo is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. International users
Zaldo is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of Zaldo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
